There are schools in the St. Louis and surrounding area that do not have accreditation, which stagnates the under-served communities educationally.
We understand the importance of our children receiving an education, as well as attending secondary education. Therefore, C.O.L.A has started the C.O.L.A STEM Initiative. We offer programs to combat learning deficiencies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
We will partner with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), starting with a Jr. FIRST Lego League (Jr. FLL), ages 6-9.
The Jr. FLL program starts making an impact at a young age and provides life skills to enable a child to be productive and self-sufficient. In turn, that child will be willing to “give back” by mentoring or teaching other children.
We look to start new teams and grow substantially year by year, giving children in the St. Louis City and surrounding areas STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) opportunities that are currently not available.
